Finding Lilith Stories

Do you know someone who has worked for equality but been silenced, ostracized or vilified?

We are creating a play about Lilith and the mythology around her. In our view, she was cast out, forgotten and vilified because she demanded equality. As a part of this project we would like to include the stories of other female identifying people who have worked for equality and have faced attempts to silence them, ostracize them or vilify them. We are specifically looking for stories about people who are not well known or not well known outside of your community.  Our mission is to create plays that lift up underheard voices. At a time when women's contributions are being erased it is more important than ever that we work to preserve the contributions of women!

More information about the Finding Lilith Project can be found at lookingforlilith.org/findinglilith.

Since 2001, Looking for Lilith Theatre Company has used stories as the foundation of our mission, as we create original plays that lift up underheard voices. Through our longtime membership in Alternate Roots, we have been proud to learn Story Circle Methodology from our theatre elders at JuneBug Productions and Roadside Theatre.
