Katharine Hernandez Chacon

Katharine is an upcoming Freshman at Dupont Manual High School in the Visual Arts Magnet and a member of GirlSpeak with Looking for Lilith Theatre Company. Katharine has enjoyed all her time spent here and hopes to still be a part of GirlSpeak in the future.

Perla Delgado

Born in Louisville, KY, Perla is a student in the Media Arts and Engineering Pathways at Atherton High School. She is a founding member of EllasHablan, also known as GirlSpeak, which is a part of Looking for Lilith Theatre Company. She is a videographer and shares her work on YouTube. Some of her other hobbies include makeup, video games, art, music, and reading about tech and science.

Diana Guerra

Diana, born and raised in Louisville, KY, is studying Business and Engineering at Doss High School. She enjoys creating art and finding herself through writing. This is her second summer with LFL through GirlSpeak and will always remember the safe space they have let her be a part of.

Renatta Maridueña

Renatta is an upcoming Junior at duPont Manual High School. At the age of 11,12, and 14, she won Best of Show at the Kentucky State Fair for photography. This is her first year in GirlSpeak and she hopes to join again next year.

Fabiola Marin

Fabiola is an incoming Freshman at Spencer County High School. She has been a student at Adelante Hispanic Achievers and a proud member of GirlSpeak for two years. Fabiola achieved First Place in the statewide Kentucky 4-H competition for public speaking. She finds passion in theatre, music, and making a difference.

Jazmine Martinez

Jazmine is an upcoming Junior at duPont Manual in the Journalism and Communications magnet. This is her fourth year at GirlSpeak and third year of Adelante. She has written two articles for Manual Redeye and is a designer for On The Record magazine. She enjoys photography, theatre, playing/making music, and being with friends.

TEACHING ARTISTS

Shannon Woolley Allison

Lead Teaching Artist (she/her)

Shannon is a proud founding member of LFL. She served as Artistic Director from 2001 to 2014, and as Co-Artistic Director from 2015 to present. She holds a BFA in Acting from SMU, and an MA in Educational Theatre from NYU, where she studied Theatre of the Oppressed techniques with Chris Vine at the Gallatin School. Favorite LFL projects over the years include directing Erin Fitzgerald’s GOOD GRIEF and Diana Grisanti’s THE PATRON SAINT OF LOSING SLEEP, playing Jules in Allie Fireel’s NOTE, performing ALICE IN BLACK AND WHITE Off-Broadway, serving as Devising Director for CLASS OF ‘70, FABRIC FLAMES AND FERVOR and PREVAILING WINDS, and especially every fun and crazy touring adventure she’s been on with various ensembles in the last 20 years!

Clare Hagan

Stage Management Mentor (they/them)

Louisville native Tiera was most recently seen in COMMON THREADS, and, previous to that, as Georgia Nugent in FROM BARDSTOWN TO BROADWAY: THE ROAD TO VOTES FOR WOMEN/THE SUFFRAGE DRIVING & WALKING TOUR, but has been working with Looking for Lilith Theatre Company since she was in high school. She joined the LFL team through one of their community outreach programs that was hosted at Fern Creek High School, called CHOICES: AN INTERACTIVE PLAY ON CYBERBULLYING AND SUICIDE. After high school, Tiera got her bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts at Northern Kentucky University and immediately found a home at Looking for Lilith. She has been a Devising team member & actor for THE KENTUCKY SUFFRAGE PROJECT and COMMON THREADS’ “High School Reunion”. She is also a teaching artist for various community outreach programs.

Jennifer Thalman Kepler

Lead Teaching Artist (she/her)

Jennifer is an LFL Co-founder and Co-Artistic Director, as well as actor, director, devising director and teaching artist. She has performed in CROSSING MOUNTAINS, WHAT MY HANDS HAVE TOUCHED, CLASS OF ’70 (2004, 2013), FABRIC FLAMES AND FERVOR, BEYOND THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, 10 YEARS, 7 STORIES, GETTING OUT, LUZ, CAREFULLY TAUGHT and JUST LIKE US. Jennifer originated the role of Alice Austin in ALICE IN BLACK AND WHITE in both Louisville and New York. Jennifer has served as devising director for WHAT MY HANDS HAVE TOUCHED and WE. ARE. HERE. , and as devising/production director for CHOICES, BECOMING MOTHERS, and THE KENTUCKY SUFFRAGE PROJECT. She also directs the devising process with young people and develops curriculum through LFL’s GirlSpeak program and in-school residencies.

Jill Marie Schierbaum

Set & Props Design Mentor (she/her)

Jill Marie is a Louisville based multimedia artist, designer and creative. She has been working with LFL since 2006, when she joined us as an intern. She is the creator behind Design Studio 749, works as Digital Branding and Marketing Coordinator with LFL, and is Co-Owner of Marie-Mae Photography. She is excited to be back on stage since Defining Infinity and to be able to experience her daughter Ava Lang working with her. This Story Circle Project has been such an amazing experience all around and she hopes it sparks a little common thread to the audience. She dedicates this show to her new little bundle Fin.

Laura Ellis

Sound Design Mentor (she/her)

Company Member Laura Ellis is a Peabody Award-winning audio producer who's been working with Looking for Lilith since 2009. She's performed in nine or ten LFL productions, and appeared as Gertrude in the world premiere of ALICE IN BLACK AND WHITE in Louisville, then at 59E59 Theaters in New York. Laura is also the resident sound designer for Kentucky Shakespeare. When she's not in a theater (or a park), she makes podcasts and writes a podcasting advice column for Louisville Public Media (learn more at louisvillepublicmedia.org/podcasts).

Holly Stone

Marketing & Projections Design Mentor (she/her)

Holly is Director of LFL’s Marketing & Communications Department and participates in research & devising of original works. Past LFL credits include MAC'S WORLD (Scenic & Projections Designer) THE KENTUCKY SUFFRAGE PROJECT (Research Co-Director/Videographer & Editor), GOOD GRIEF (Videographer & Editor), JUST LIKE US (Scenic Designer), DEFINING INFINITY (Touring Set Designer), THE PATRON SAINT OF LOSING SLEEP (Projections Designer), CROSSING MOUNTAINS (Touring Set Designer), LEGACY OF LIGHT (Set & Props Co-Designer) & PREVAILING WINDS (Projections Designer/Research Co-Director). Recent non-LFL projection designs include BUYER & CELLAR and FUN HOME with Pandora Productions. Holly spent 15 seasons with KY Shakespeare and has worked in and around the Louisville theatre community for over 25 years as an administrator, scenic artist & designer, projections designer, house manager, stage manager, production manager and actor. Holly studied art and theatre at the Youth Performing Arts School/duPont Manual, Louisville Visual Art Association, Young Actor’s Institute, KY Shakespeare’s Apprentice program, & Wright State University’s Theatre Design and Technology Program.

Morgan M. Younge

Costume Design Mentor (she/her)

Productions include Aunt Franny in DON’T TELL ME I CAN’T FLY (Stage One Family Theatre); Truvy in STEEL MAGNOLIAS (Faith Works Studios) A Sista in SAY HER NAME: BREONNA TAYLOR (Berea College Theatre Laboratory); Maybelle in BEFORE IT HITS HOME (The Griot Project); and June in GOOD GRIEF (Looking for Lilith). Morgan is an LFL Company Member and considers herself a Theatre Professional also working as a costume designer, writer, director and teaching artist. Recently, Morgan was awarded a grant from the Kentucky Foundation for Women to produce a summer camp of her original script HIP HOP HERC (August 2021).
