For the past two years, Looking for Lilith has conducted “Ancestors Workshops” with community partners throughout Kentucky (such as Adelante Hispanic Achievers and Simmons College), in which participants share stories of an ancestor and LFL artists lead them in creating visual, performance, and literary art that lifts up that Ancestors’ story. This  interactive public performance shares stories from these workshops in a unique event in which audience are both observers and participants – both story listeners and storytellers!  Actors and audience travel together as one, accompanied by original music from local playwright and songwriter, Erin Fitzgerald.

LFL defines "ancestor" as anyone who has come before you who has informed in some way the person that you are.

The Storytelling Revolution Festival is a new work festival celebrating bold new stories that explore the wonder and complexity of our time. Produced in collaboration with the Louisville Fringe Festival, the festival will take place April 1–12, 2026, throughout Actors Theatre’s Main Street Complex.
