Season 2025-2026

25 years Strong - And Stronger Together:
A Season of Dynamic Programming and a Call to Raise 25K

Looking for Lilith Theatre Company (LFL) launches its landmark 25th season this September with a renewed commitment to lifting up unheard stories, deepening community connections, and creating transformative theatre experiences. Federal anti-DEI directives have negatively impacted LFL’s funding, and yet we are forging ahead with big plans for our landmark 25th season—and we’re calling on our audiences and supporters to stand with us by helping raise $25,000 in celebration of 25 years of bold, inclusive storytelling.

Now, more than ever, our work matters,” said Shannon Woolley Allison, Co-Founder/ Co-Artistic Director. “Theatre is where we witness each other, honor each other’s truths, and imagine better futures. This year, we’re doubling down on connection—with our audiences, our collaborators, and our communities.”

The 2025–2026 season includes:

  • Lifecycle of a Blackberry – Honoring the lives, voices, and stories of Black Appalachian Women, this audience favorite will tour to the University of Virginia in March. Presented in recognition of Women’s History Month, the production shares powerful narratives that uplift and celebrate the experiences of Black Appalachian women, bringing these vital stories to new audiences across the region.

  • Blood to Drink – a powerful new play by Maggie Lou Rader, where accusations burn and women’s voices rise — Salem reimagined in dark comedy — will be brought to life in Spring 2026, exploring the lives, loves, and losses of women caught in Salem’s infamous witch trials.

  • A new devised, multi-experience production exploring the Lilith myth and its modern echoes – 25 years in the making, this original work will be developed collaboratively throughout the 2025–2026 season, culminating in its debut in the Fall of our 2026–2027 season.

Educational and community programming will continue to be a cornerstone of LFL’s work, with GirlSpeak & YouthSpeak, Ancestors Workshops, After-School Drama and more, engaging people of all ages in creative dialogue.

The season’s heartbeat is LFL’s mission: to make space for stories too often left untold, and to engage audiences in conversations that spark change.

25th Season Kickoff & Birthday Celebration
LFL’s 25th Season begins September 1, marking the start of a yearlong celebration leading up to our 25th birthday on September 10, 2026! Throughout the season, we’ll be honoring this milestone with special events and opportunities to celebrate together. On Thursday, September 18, join us in giving toward our $25,000 goal through the Give for Good campaign—supporting LFL’s bold, accessible, community-driven work for the next 25 years.

How to Support
LFL’s $25,000 for 25 Years campaign isn’t just a fundraiser—it’s a call to action for the community to help secure the next quarter-century of bold, unheard storytelling. We’re inviting individuals, families, and businesses to join us in reaching this milestone by:

  • Giving now – one-time or recurring gifts keep our work accessible and vital.

  • Honoring 25 years – contribute $25 (or more) to celebrate each year of Lilith’s impact.

  • Becoming a monthly donor – sustaining support builds a foundation for the future.

This goal is as much about community as it is about dollars. We want to see our audiences, neighbors, and friends rally together - because in times like these, the arts need individual champions more than ever.

Supporters can also follow LFL on Facebook and Instagram to see behind-the-scenes moments, artist stories, and the journey toward the $25,000 goal unfold in real time.
